Privacy

This site is for grown-ups. It is written for parents, grandparents, teachers and librarians. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13, and nothing on the site asks a child for anything.

What we collect

If you join the Compass Club, we keep the email address you give us, so we can send you Field Notes. That's it. You can unsubscribe with one click in any email, and your address is deleted from the list.

The site uses privacy-friendly analytics that count page views without cookies or personal profiles.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share your address. We don't run ad trackers. The "patches" collected on Mila's backpack live only in your own browser and are never sent anywhere.

Links

Buy buttons go to Amazon, which has its own privacy policy. Some links may be affiliate links, which cost you nothing.
